I feel like this game needed alternative meat source you could try upkeep and feed that could also be a staple food source that would reproduce on their own. Having two of each and having the food around they like to eat ending up in a growing herd could be a fun way to have meat alternatives such as how farms now work to prior crappy single build ones.

Planting plants, letting them graze on them and the more there are the more requirements would be higher, the less upkeep - the less of a quality of meat or wool you'd get. Maybe even adding feeders with that.

Simple things unlike how creatures work by mitosis procreation from nothing. Would add more farm life than you'd think. Consider it please, Klei. Ranching is one mechanic that is very old and very weird.

The closest thing we have to something like this are both Beefalo and Volt Goats, so yes please.

I feel Ewecus are too aggressive and feral to be pacified and friendly

Koalefant and Grass Gator should just be tameable entirely.

Even if you somehow will tame ewecus, I doubt youd be able to shear its wool. I mean, judging by character quotes its literally hard as steel.
