Previous history is a good thing to go by: So, no, they won't be.

Inb4 new scrap-boss that gives you gears, a green gem, a statue (not implemented until a later date), mecha-moggle blueprint and a youtube video of nothing really happened but at the very end you see Wagstaff tinkering on something that looks like a pile of scrap - Charlie is in a cave holding an artifact with immense power that will never be explained again.

to be fair we fought the shark to steal his stuff which is totally a reason XD

Not really, you pay him with fish for an old rotten boot. That's more than equivalent exchange. Especially when he doesn't need that to travel in water since he's a shark.

P.S: the trick is to tell people you're older than you are, that's why I say i'm 432 years old. Nobody has ever guessed that i'm only around 305!

As much as I hope for the beta to drop this week, I've got a gut feeling that next week is MUCH more likely. I dunno, it feels like late May/early June seems like a perfect spot to drop an update. A bit disappointing, but at least the silver-lining is that it's more likely to be good the more time it spends in the oven. Though, if I'm proven wrong, I'll be glad that I am.

He wrote that it is half ready, 2 months after the announcement of the latest update, if you think about it, then the end of May (28 most likely) will be the day of the beta release.

I hate to rain on your parades, but I think it comes out next week too. 

1. I think the actual launch of the update will happen on Klei Fest [most likely on June 19th this year]

2. A launch next week would give them 3 weeks to work out the bugs/issues. They could probably use 4 weeks given how big this update supposedly is, but 3 will probably suffice. 

3. They usually communicate even when Betas are coming and we have absolutely 0 indication that it's dropping this week.... so it won't

Lastly, I don't think the Klei team is that motivated to even drop big updates. The player base is too diverse at this point to satisfy everyone. It doesn't even matter what they update - forum is mostly filled with people complaining about stuff... I wouldn't be that motivated to work diligently on such a project either :3

Klei has been devoting resources to other projects but DST will always be king 😤

Honestly they can take as long as they need to perfect the Wonkey rework.
