For the fun of it, what you guyes expect to be the next update ? I have a feeling it will be a scrappy scavengers kind of update where we get a lot of necesary qol, maybe a 1 or two overhouls and a bunch of content.

Unlikely… remember Klei said they have plans to conclude the entire return of them story arch by this September, and that they expect that to be two content updates if the next “beta” is for more character skill tree non-sense there’s gonna be a lot of dissatisfied customers.

Klei has changed their content release schedule they used to do one update per month, now they only do one update every 3-4 Months.

A beta has to come out by the end of this month, because.. 3-4 months after that- IS SEPTEMBER.

Two large Return of Them updates to conclude the story Arch by September.

The remaining character Skill trees have to be put on the back-burner to met their own self imposed deadline.

If that was the case then why would they write all that in the april 1st post?? it was after the schedule announcement too so now Im even more confused

You're assuming nothing will be delayed. Devs do give rough time frames to set some expectations yes, but that doesn't mean everything will go to plan and it's not a promise. Otherwise the last skill trees would be done with much quicker.

I wouldn't be surprised if the last patch of this update cycle will probably not be beta'd to a large population to avoid spoilers too, given its the ending of a story arc.

A new gestals infestation/wave/whatever with scrap theme to split the gestals between the ones who infest plants and the ones who infest scrap so BS becomes less of a repetitive mechanic as promised

I think it's going to be a mix of junkyard upgrades and rift bosses, but with some kind of ending where the survivors are freed from the constants.

If I had to guess when the beta would drop, I feel like late May to early June would be a good bet. MAYBE mid May if we get super lucky, but I doubt we'll see anything drop next week.
