Chat pings

With a bunch of people or just single Status Announcements [MOD] it's easy to start subconsciously stop paying attention to it and when someone tries to message specifically you then you won't notice. 

Chat pings will make sound and display short message in more noticeable place bringing your attention to chat in case someone did this @yourname.

Add to scoreboards button to disable pings from certain person in case they abused it in undesired manner on you.

Chat pings are a mod. Just mute people whenever they start pinging.

Some mods apart from status announcements that I like:
 

Announce Entity (Press X to announce item at cursor, "I see a Deerclops")

Environment Pinger (Press V+Click to give coords to all people using environment pinger. Warning: It is spammy)

Seriously guys I know 4 lines is extremely long read but you could choose to not comment if you didn't read the post.  

This is not ping i meant.

I meant messaging a player like specifically mentioning them like on discord, so they hear "DING DONG" so it's less likely they will ignore your message.

I'm saying it would be nice if we could have a feature that is more effective at bringing target player's attention to the message. 

I said already why but i will say again.

Sometimes people will just 100% turn off their attention from chat, if they're not near you and you want to message them there's no way you could make them focus on chat for a while. 

I've been playing GTA San Andreas Multiplayer mod 15 years ago and it was great feature and you could see that installed on pretty much any server.
There were even 50 people on a server and server messages were just flying but thanks to that you could get the person you want to talk to pay attention to you.    

Looked like this. You were hearing sound sound and saw for 2 seconds on top of the screen "You got direct message".

If this is a problem caused by mods, wouldn't be more reasonable to request someone make a mod to solve that?

I mean, if there will be a "disable pings" option (obviously 100% it gonna be a thing to avoid ping abuse) then you'll end in the same spot where people won't care about chat and also disable pings.
