Would it be possible to look into allowing “permanent” cave obstacles* to be non permanent in the future?

(*Before I begin, I do preface that if this is changed in any way, the things that become nonpermanent should be added to regrowth so they do not entirely become nonrenewable)

Ive been trying to base a lot more in caves recently, but unfortunately I do feel it’s quite difficult to work in, primarily because, apart from world generation being a bit more wacky down there, of how much stuff you simply cannot move.

Biomes like the bat caves are one of the worst examples of this. You have a lot giant stalagmites, bat caves, and nightmare fissures everywhere in that biome. It makes it extremely difficult to try turning it into something habitable when all 3 of these cannot be removed and 2 of those 3 spawn threats (and the latter in particular is a very dangerous one).

One of my particularly least favorite “blockers” are depth dweller dens. They always seem to be in very inconvenient places for me, and it’s a massive pain to work around them. In particular, I have 2 on my road that lead directly to my mud biome, that I cannot avoid unless I specifically am hugging the edge of the void to do so.

I would love to see this get adjusted in the future, particularly with lategame means. A nice way would be a way to remove the fissures, as those seem to be the most abundant blockable in many biomes. You could perhaps destroy them by using a brightshade bomb (similar to how krissures from SW can be stopped by using coconades in them). Bat caves, on the other hand, could simply be mineable, much like spilagmites. The pillars in particular are not something I would know how to change, though. I would love to see a means to break them, especially because they can get pretty abundant. I did see a neat suggestion awhile back about using a flare to eliminate depth dweller dens, which I thought was fun, albeit this is probably too early of a means to eliminate such a threat.

In general, I would love to see the caves become more habitable. I think it’s neat to build with a unique environment, although I do wish it wasn’t as much of a pain to work around the constant issue of permanent obstacles.
