[image] Wormwood's last cry for change and a friendly warning, I mean: reminder

This is my 2nd attempt to improve Wormwood's skill tree:
not much changed from the 1st one, but I thought I'd clean things up and put subtitles to make it more visual

Here I decided to move all bug-loving skills to their own branch as they don't connect with much else (they could be the part of Bloom Branch though iif Grow Spurt I and II became one skill, Photosynthesis was part of Flower Power maybe and then we'd have Shade Plant one way and Butterfly Friend + Bee Kind combined and Fly Trap last - it would need some improvement though, as it isn't worth taking now and is still the final skill in its branch). I got a suggestion Poor Sap could be moved to Bramble Husk/Trap Specialist branch, but it requires a Red Cap so it seems fitting for the Mushroom Branch in my opinion.

I explain my thought process and reasoning in my previous topic, so feel free to check it out.

Also, I know we've been all making fun of "Book Meter" and all other ridiculous meters in previous reworks, but for Wormwood a Bloom Meter would be a great QoL change. It would show how soon he'll reach next phase, how long will he remain in Full Bloom and how much growth formula you need to apply to max out full bloom length.
plz Klei!

And finally I just want to say, even if Wormwood goes live as he is now, I will be making similar topic in the main branch. I hope zealous Wormwood enjoyers will back me up on that, so we can get him some needed leaf polish, to, you know, polish his skill tree a little.

I don't agree with every single thing on the skill tree. But over all, it would be better than what we have now.

Fusing the two starting positions into one would make everything better I feel. Getting that one extra point would make a world of difference.

Only thing I would add is 5 petals a day to flower power hehe...

I don't see petals ever coming back unfortunately.

I can't believe I wrote it off almost immediately, and even now I'm finding more uses for it... Like "free" ash for growth formula.

It would make the blooming skills path more useful. I can't believe there are no perks that increase the benefit of using fertilizers. Once you have enough growth formula to be perma bloom it has no use. If the intent is for early game only, well you can be blooming a long time as soon as you find gloomer. Not to mentioned the negative effects winter has on blooming which is also early game

Maybe just one petal? Lol

Please swap the bulbous light bug and carrat around please. The carrat is the best transmutation.

Also i think the first one you did was much better than this one.

Wait how come the farm hand skill was removed?

To me Bulbous Lightbugs are more universal, you can use them in more situations, they're good for everyday use when exploring, sitting in base, even fighting with single target enemies, plus they look dope as hell when orbiting you (given their cost should be 5 hp instead of 15, 6 of them is -90 hp for some reason). Carrats, on the other hand, are only useful when gathering and only when gathering food, so explicitly gathering big crops, drops after frog rains and idk, maybe after some big spider wars. Their use, as I understand it, is very niche, they don't do much but look cute and bring you food. It's usually enough to have 1-2 and they still manage to get killed easily, for example by walking on your own Bramble Traps(!).

Secondly, as I pointed out before, you can craft 6 Bulbous Lightbugs, 4 Carrats and 2 Saladmanders, 6 -> 4 -> 2 - natural progression, and their hp cost should also be 5 -> 15 -> 25. It represents their usability and their size as well: small Lightbug (1hp) -> medium Carrat (25hp) -> Saladmander (chomp-chomp 600hp).

Also if you think Carrat is the best transmutation, it makes sense to have it further on the branch, right? Better things should cost more.

How come? I only split Bramble Branch and Bug-loving Branch, so you don't have 2 separate themes in one, and put farming branches on the left, so they are under Lunar Cultivator skills and self-focused branches to the right, so they are under Lunar Guardian skills. It's more similar to the official skilltree we currently have (just swap Lunar Branches) and I believe this is how his tree should look like.

Farmhand is combined with Seed Sleuth in my world. Both of these are extremely little and skippable perks that could just be Wormwood's normal additions and no one would even notice.
Seed Sleuth is really cumbersome (as you have to examine each seed by clicking on it) for not much benefit, just wait for the second phase and dig the booger, no biggie.
Farmhand gives you bigger crop tending radius (wow!) and a little quicker picking of just(!) crops. Wormwood should just have this perk without any skills needed, he should have Woodie's Quick Picker branch in his base form or even instantly gather basic resources like Webber in Gorge.

I still don't like crafting bushes, tufts and sapplings they're ABUNDANT and regenerating, I don't need to lose tons of time and health if i could lose sanity(actually net 5 gain after you plant), just get shovel.
Leafy bushes should be for everyone who uses clean sweeper on normal bush.

You've made great order from that great mess, adding nice extras and separating utter uselessness to be never used again since we're not forced to. Would be great fix.
