Regarding that, I was thinking that the reason why there is a fight between those who prefer DST and DS is because unfortunately at some point the togueter will stop serving its servers and the only thing that It will be the DS and at that moment the game will age poorly, since all the attention was focused on the togueter, since it was the only way for the game to be better known and get more players. MondayNight Posted July 18, 2023 Share Posted July 18, 2023 There are so many DST communities (with own Discords) out there hosting (Don't Starve Together (DST), Diverse Survivors, Slightly Tilted, Don't Fight, How To Survive!, Mighty Beard, Meow Together, DST Moon [EU], etc) that, if KLei pulled the plug on their official servers today, there will still be plenty alternatives and variety for the foreseeable future and beyond. If It ever reachs this point, but we can atleast made a solo server (y'know what i'm talking about), It would be just good enough. These type of popular games even after abandoned completely of all development and support, take decades to fade out , I’d assume someone somewhere will still play it and make mods to keep it playable in the times to come. That fate does not seem to be anywhere close though. It becoming unplayable is an inevitability, although one that isn't likely to happen any time remotely soon.
