Should Woodie's Wereform mastery stay locked to one at a time??

Should we have to choose between wereform mastery of the forms.

I like being forced to choose. Moose mastery seems like the obvious one most people might choose but in reality the moose gets most of its big perks from the three prior skills... speed, charge stop and the most important, health regen! Even without its mastery, moose is really strong for regular/boss fights now. Its mastery is probably the least mechanically different/impressive of the three.

Beaver and goose also have there uses... goose mastery being the weakest of the three in my opinion. Different people with different priorities will choose whichever suits them. It makes people think how they will play woodie before even joining a game which is a good thing!!

I don't think I understand the question?

in Woodie's skilltree all 3 werefrom branches has a mastery, beaver tail slam, hard hitting moose, flying goose, you can only pick one mastery so the question is basically if they should be kept locked one at a time.

I'm just kinda bummed that I'll never experience being immune to shadows when in wereform since the lunar side is needed just to play late game in any way.

I've been wondering if the lunar side is even worth it anymore I mean pretty much all the downsides of turning during the full moon aren't really a issue anymore.

Hard agree, the downside of set to 0 hunger at form end can be reduced to 23 hunger and Moose/Beaver having really strong trees (Sorry Goose fans), I think I'd actually prefer being in a transformed state over not majority of the time. Also thinking about it, you won't need feeding a lot with that 23 hunger set at the end of form too!

If people are really repicking woodie to reset perks so they can get different mastery then I guess answer is obvious

I mean if nothing else I know I'll probably use the portal for it since there's no reason not to keep the moose most of the time which is new for me since I don't actually use the portal normally. Maybe they could fix this by incentivizing sticking with beaver or goose more but no idea how they would.

After i learnt that beaver can move boats fast and claim and break stone fruits without hurting saladmanders i think i will be using the portal a lot

This seems like a funny perk when playing with friends.

When you pick them by hand you get them as the closed stone fruit then you need to break them but if you ground pound them on the stone fruit bush they will be dropped as the open stone fruits (most of the time)

I have feeling they made masteries mutually exclusive just because they could, for visuals. That give even much less incentive to pick that goofy goose mastery.  You'll get beaver for harvesting tons of wood once in a time and then switch to moose for boss fighting if anything I can see it achieving only inconvenience of having you to use portal.

It's even weirder because of the current state of the moose it's even good for basic combat since you'll be healing while you fight and you stay in it long enough that you can farm out more idols while your using it so there's little reason not to use the moose form in your day to day even more so when you setup a monster meat farm.
