Change the recipe for creating monkey tails.please

Recommended Posts

in crafting monkey tails, I suggest replacing bananas with Palmcone Scale, there is a lot of debate that monkey tails should not be in wormwood and remain on monkey island, but if you change the crafting, it will not only not replace the contents of the island, but also complement it, since wormwood will be able to reproduce monkey tails from the materials of the island. It even explains why he knows how to make them at all. He makes them from materials that are on the island. and then it will be a good compromise both for those who want monkey tails, and for those who do not want them

The best solution is just remove it, which doesn't lead to more gameplay contant, it leads to less. Getting more monkeytail from moonstorm and unnatural portal is more sense and Interesting.

I'm not against removal, but judging by the fact that there are people who want this plant to remain, and they argue a lot about it. So I proposed a logical compromise

Literally that monkeytail recipe helps nothing other than decoration purpose in normal gameplay. IMO the whole branch of new plant recipes should be merged into one skill in order to make room for more skills.

Alas, it probably doesn't work that way. If this were the case, then Willsona would have a dining torch, a dining beard and then there would be 2 more places for interesting things. But alas..

Would you be having this same weeklong meltdown over this if instead of monkeytails it was the swamp reeds skin?

If it were possible to dig up reeds in the game. no one would say a word. But this is not in the game. A transplanted version can be purchased on Monkey Island. This is a reward for exploring the ocean.

Going for compromises is how a lot of content in this game goes to crap, either have the monkey tails that synergise with wormwood or don't have them at all

I don't know what you're talking about. I suggested an idea on how to keep creating monkey tails, but at the same time not devalue the reward for monkey island. What's wrong?

And other survivor’s perks offer shortcuts for other gameplay content. This is the most basic thing.

because at that point the craft has no point, you need bananas to craft monkeytails and if you want those you already need to go to moon quay or the ruins to get them, so I don't see a single problem with them being how they are right now, and you also need to consider that you need 4 reeds to craft one, you invest 12 days to start profitting reeds while with moon quay you go there. snag the saplings and get reeds without any resource invested outside of time, which you already invest time into everything in this game

Interesting.

The moon gleams spawn ridiculously slow and you can't do anything to speed it up, just have to wait, the process is interesting on paper, tedious in gameplay. And to summon the moon storm, you need to do all those chores for Pearl, kill crab king and solve that stupid "puzzle" in the archives that can only be brute forced. How is this enjoyable or interesting?

because people love to gate keep this game's terrible side aka the 'shut up and keep dying on repeat side without having any sort of nudging towards the goal of all these cryptic questlines'

Agree. The game is terrible at teaching you how to play, I know it's part of the design there's no tutorials, but that doesn't mean the game shouldn't have guidance at all. Some threats can be learnt after you die to it and that's fine I guess, but things like lunar and shadow questlines are not explained at all.

That's something to consider if the devs want to remove monkeytail crafting, would the players be able to figure out using moon gleams at the portal can give you monkeytails? Or is it easier to show its renewability just by adding a crafting recipe?

Ok so let's change Wortox, because he uses teleportation that can only be used by visiting the ruins and crafting the Lazy Explorer.

It's cool that when I tried to find a compromise between those who want to remove monkey tails and those who don't, to find a solution that suits everyone, and in the end I became the one who is wrong about everything, my every word was perceived "with hostility". I understand your point of view due to the fact that you want to get comfortable reeds from the very beginning, turning a blind eye to monkey island. But I also have my own point of view.Maybe I'm wrong, but I really tried. I apologize. if my words seem rude somewhere, I use Google translator. This can distort the true essence

Getting rewards for involved in world events than is more interesting than take a disposable crafting station out of the portal and hold down a button to transform farm products.

A interaction between two objects that span the world but related to each other is more intersting than a simple meaningless crafting recipe on the meun design by a unabashed conflicting ideas.
