Chris TC Wong
Is there any way I can activate the temporal tear opener below ? I have been playing for 7000 cycles so I don't want to start a new save....
sakura_sk
Is it affected by buildings? Just deconstructing the tiles above, should fix it
Chris TC Wong
I have put a mini pod above the opener, which cannot be deconstructed...
asurendra
Just now, Chris TC Wong said: I have put a mini pod above the opener, which cannot be deconstructed... Let it be here. Just deconstruct the floor. Pod itself will not block the path PS Actually mini-pod can be deconstructed if necessary. Just melt it
meekay
If the room with the mini-pod has an atmosphere in it, it may be the air itself causing the blockage via attenuation of light. You can check this using the light overlay. The docs don't make this clear, but the temporal tear opener needs to receive a certain amount of sunlight or it thinks it's blocked. Glass/diamond block tiles and airflow tiles are fine.
Magheat2009
What kind of a beast of a PC do you have which lets you play till 7000 cycles?
pether
do you have tiles above the pod? maybe they are blocking the line of sight?

It doesn't even matter if you have other rooms above it as long as it has "line of sight" through other glass tiles. Make sure you have the other requirements of the temporal tear checked, 5 printing pods and the temporal tear discovered. Then you will be able to charge it with radbolts *unless this "line of sight" I'm presenting is a testing branch only feature, in which case it will be available soonish
Chris TC Wong
thanks everyone! Appreciate your insights and let me try set more colonies before I attempt to open it again. as for the PC configure ? it's just took a SSD harddisk 2 minutes per save per cycle....
