Now we just need some gold cobblestone to make a yellow brick road a reality. I wish gold flooring from cotl was less dominant for that purpose lol.

I built them near the base so I could redeem items whenever I wanted.

The next small scene was built before I had CNY, and it is a classical old house in my memory.

But now people have almost dismantled it. So let's just keep it in the DST.

Part I of the Cave Base:

I shared an in-progress shot of the beginnings of my cave base here a while ago, but since then I've made some progress, so I thought I'd start a mini series to show off what I've done. I'm currently trying to build all throughout the green mushtree biome before I activate the cave rifts so that rifts won't spawn in my base, since that's where I decided to build. First up is my underground chest build. I used to build really huge chest zones, but now with infinite chests I've been experimenting with smaller, more compact storage areas. There also isn't as much stuff to store in the caves usually.

I wanted my cave base to keep up the flowery-garden theme I had going for my Wendy World (or Maxwell today...), but to also incorporate some of the themes from the caves, so my storage area is half Lunar Grotto, half Ruins:

This is dusk lighting; I built most of my underground base so far in the light pools that used to be a bunny village, but it's fairly well lit as well. The Gloomthorns provide enough night vision for whenever I want more than the crown's radius.

And, for the Ruins side of things, @Lovens inspired me to use thulecite medallions as both decorative trimming and a nightmare cycle clock. My base is very close to the wilds/ruins, so whenever I need nightmare fuel and bananas, I skip on over to farm some monkeys with Abigail or shadow servants. Wigfrid does a pretty good job with her spear dash too if the monkeys are wet. At some point when I switch to Wormwood I might plant some pomegranates in the empty space behind the ruins storage chests, for a Hades/Underworld look. And of course, Maxwell can't forget to appease Charlie with roses!

Thank you!! I love mutated fungal turf so much for exactly that reason, I put it in a lot of my builds.

Part II of the Cave Base: Underground Gardens

Follow-up to my previous post now that I've finished the mushroom gardens, I'm sharing my underground farm plots, banana gardens, and mushroom farms. If you saw my first Wendy World post (showing off my above-world garden), this one looks pretty similar, but it was first inspired by a cave garden I built in a different world, with snurtle shells like snails lurking around the edges and garden gnomes overseeing all the crops.

I like to spend summers down in the caves (the sandstorm annoys me, and I've fought Antlion so many times I'm sick of it), so this time around I decided to start farming dragonfruits and peppers for Warly in my cave gardens while I was underground. Even with the Ruins monkey villages right beside me, I could never seem to farm enough manure to keep peppers and dragonfruits happy enough to grow all giants, so I finally added pomegranate to the mix. This set was ALMOST perfect, save 2 lonely little dragonfruits...

(Angry Maxwell!) But at least the other side worked out...

An overview of the garden (with the completed mushroom farms in the background), and onward to the banana garden above!

The flower trim withered on one side because it was just outside the light, but I kind of like the wilted-flower look too. Between the bananas in the garden and the ones from the monkey villages, Wendy/Maxwell is swimming in banana shakes.

And now for the mushroom farms. The green is my favourite, I think, but I'm pleased with the way they all turned out. (Screenshots taken of each farm at the appropriate time of day; dusk for green, night for blue, day for red. I also spawned in the blue/red mushtrees because there wasn't any other way to make them grow in the biome, but I based in the green mushtree forest, so the green ones are natural.)

And more snail shells, because I love them, as well as Toadstool, here to watch over the only garden he knows how.

I haven't decided if I'll make a separate area for moonshrooms next time Wormwood comes to visit the cave base or if they can live with the blue mushrooms.

The red mushroom garden is the furthest from the natural cave light, so it looks pretty dark, but I think it's the right feel for it. The gnomes, of course, have to stick around to tend their new hats. Which funcap is your favourite? I'm torn between the green and the red... Maxwell doesn't approve of the fashion choices I've forced on him.

还有更多的蜗牛壳,因为我爱它们,也爱它们,在这里看他唯一知道的花园。

我还没有决定下一次艾草来参观洞穴基地时,我会不会为月牙室另建一个区域,或者他们是否可以和蓝蘑菇一起生活。

Big job!Your color matching is still so wonderful. I also have a cave mushroom farm that I want to show, which is not as big but more interesting. Before that though, I have other projects I'd like to present, as long as I can get the last butter!

This is my cave mushroom farm, which I grow according to the type of mushroom so that I can make funcaps and collect spores whenever I want. I'm not good at using a variety of items to decorate the details, so I focus on the "whole", So I made the farm itself look more like a mushroom.

At first, I tried using banana bushes and durian flowers, but the bananas were too bright and the durian flowers were too small for the mushroom farm, so I ended up using monkeytails.

I'd been wanting to make a 'resurrection' area somewhere in my base for ages. My old world had some gravestones naturally spawn near my main base that I was able to turn into a graveyard area and I was lamenting the fact that the nearest graves in my current world were on the other side of the world. Imagine my delight when they announced that Wendy would be able to move graves and make her own! A perfect opportunity to combine two builds on my to-do list, my resurrection graveyard and a Wendy area for my partner as she mainly plays Wendy. I've been waiting months since they first announced the update to be able to put the final touches on this build and share it with everyone here, and I'm finally feeling pretty happy with it!

Don't mind the very unfinished beefalo pen off to the side. I think I have an addiction to doing Shadow/Lunar reflections in my builds. Building the center as a love heart was something of a happy accident to be perfectly honest. I'd love to say I thought of it in advance, but once I noticed it I had to keep it, both because the healing items are stored in the chest and because the area was intended for my partner and love of my life when she plays the game with me. I'll probably put a few more of Abigail's Flower around the Sistern in the Lunar graveyard, at least one of each skin, and I need to place a ton of Life Giving Amulets around as I never actually realised you can't haunt a telltale heart to resurrect.

I really appreciate your use of Ancient turfs, I hardly ever use Ancient turfs and I often worry about not balancing their colors and themes.

I love your resurrection area, especially your choice of evil flowers and telltale hearts to match the theme; I almost never use flowers and non-stackable items to decorate details in my own decorations because I always pick them up accidentally, but after looking at your decorations I started to envy, I'm going to try these details more.

After completing the reading program, I was finally able to show my chess board.

Special thanks to @This14Real for sharing his chess board earlier. The combination of Scaled Floorings and stone walls is exquisite!!!

~Chess Board~

The overall layout is divided into: audience seats, chess board, player seats.

All four corners are equipped with spotlights for players to carry, oh no, to play chess at night.

Audience seats consist of wooden chairs, end tables and pots simply; The mannequin and desk in the middle simulate "the referee is monitoring the game".

Player seats, I used thulecite walls and dreadstone walls to simulate the Nightmare Throne. I also put gramophone on the side

Mast is used to indicate whose turn it is. On your turn, you need to put the mast down first, then raise it after the drop.

At night, it looks like this.

Maxwell, it's your turn now. What do you mean you don't want to sit here?
