You may have encountered a bug The playbill table actually has an inventory slot and holds one item, this book. This item actually determines what play the player can perform on the stage in the costume. If it is taken off the table, you will not be able to perform the Enchanted Doll play, even if you are wearing the correct costume. The only way to take it down right now is to replace it with another playbill book, but there is currently no way to get another playbill book. This is probably a feature reserved for more shows to come in the future. If you really want one, here is code.
