Mencken
I've been away for about a year. When there is a major update does a current game contain it or do I have to start over to enjoy the new contact? Terra B Welch
New content generally retrofits into existing worlds. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/141585-stupid-question/#findComment-1583014 Share on other sites
Mike23Ua
Your game will retrofit new updates into it, however.. the generation of retrofitted content may be a bit Wonkey (no pun intended) A newly generated world will make sure the content generates properly without having to try to squeeze it into empty areas of your map. Duck986
The game usually retrofits itself to get new content in existing games, but it's up to you - either you can continue playing in your 5 y.o. world or start from scratch despite having 20 in-game days old world.
