You could invest like 20 minutes to put your most used items to the pinned buttons (maybe categorized for each page and in your own logical order) and to the favorites filter (for items, you use sometimes). This way you will only have to open the crafting menu and search for an item in maybe 1% of the cases (maybe better use the search field for this).
