A feasible WX-78 balance idea both for Klei and players

Recommended Posts

As I see, there are many suggestions about higher electic bar here,  such as 8, 12 even 17slots. I guess it could lead a new inbalance, a 1000+hp robot might be OP but boring. Flexible is more intresting than almighty, isn't it? More electic slots means more balancing works and design for Klei, and more wait time for us to suffer.

The key point is circuit durability. Collecting enough bio data is still a slow and inefficient job nowdays, so here are 4 suggestions:

  • Improve bio data collecting effeciency.
  • Reduce the cost of circuits.
  • Increase the durability of circuits.
  • Make a directional circuit extractor for players to choose circuits.

My personal best idea is 4, directional circuit extractor. Predictably, some of circuits will be long-term and some will be more short-term. The HP, speed, nightview might be most porpular items, and the summer, winter and musicbox could be the adjustable one. So you do not have to remove all just the adjustable circuits is okay. Saving the bio data cost from long-term items also means the adjustable items could be more flexiable.

The most important reason for idea 4 is that Klei could save much time at data balancing.

I say keep the original circuit extractor as a starting tool, then have a directed one be crafted from ruins stuff. Wx always rushed ruins anyway, so it feels fitting. Should have it remove the top most one instead of a chosen one, that way it's simpler to use and prevents any situation where there are empty pins in between circuits. And, since circuits are placed bottom up, you can leave the important ones at the bottom, and the swappable ones at the top.

Advanced extractor ? Great idea

noop, I must insist for 7 slot at least

so that thermal/cold circuits can get a place in some useful combo

7 has huge difference between 8,7 means you can use some practical group such as 3+4 or 3+2+2, and without big imbalanced.
