Populate the quick access tab with recent craft?

I feel that the new UI requires too many clicks for what was done previously. The Quick access button would be the redeeming feature that reduce the clicks compared to previous UI.

The quick access tab can be populated with recency weighted craft. A way of doing the weight is like 1 point for the latest craft, and all items on the auto-filled quick access decay by 10%. If someone is building like a pig farm, the cut stone, board, pig house and maybe even axe and shovel, would rise in points and get added to the quick access. Once the person is done with pig farm and move on to others, these crafts would drop in points and eventually drop out of the quick access tab.

The quick access tab is useful, but my gameplay is too dynamic for me to decide how to fill them, so maybe they can be auto-filled with crafts that are recent and frequent.

Forcing recently crafted stuff onto quick access would completely change its function and bring a whole host of other inconveniences. Like one-time crafts (e.g. cane, razor, etc.) pushing away the ones you can actually use a lot and, generally, recipes you use a lot but not in bulk being constantly unavailable.

I'd suggest giving it some time. The devs announced they'll be adding more features that should make the quick access tab much better, such as additional pages and the option to refine ingredients directly from the recipe that uses them. To use your example, instead of needing 3 slots for Boards, Cut Stones and Pig House, you'll only need 1 slot for the Pig House, with the boards and cut stones being crafted through that recipe.

How about more Quick craft tabs instead?

That you can cycle through in similar way you can cycle through active inventory bars in Stardew Valley.

Example i have 1 quick craft tab with 9 essentials pinned currently active. I can cycle onto quick craft tab number 2 where i have all building related recipes pinned.

Or something similar i love the recipe pinning feature and would love it being expanded tbh.

An 'AI Generated crafting tab' sounds really cool for a mod idea... I'd want that as my favorites tab instead if it turns out to be really good (like the ones without needing to open the menu). I think it wouldn't only account for your previous crafts, but your current materials, season, and even other parameters like if you're in the dark or what biome you're in.
