change bone helm?

Ok, firstly, maybe im not using bone helm correctly, but, I only use it when I want to farm nightmare fuel, when I dont want to deal with shadow creatures bone helm is not an option, because you cant press F if you are using it, and if you want for example, open a chest, and a terrorbeak run in front of the chest, just imagine missclicking, all the nightmare creatures will attack you.

maybe, instead of considering shadow creatures as enemies, when you equip the bone helm, consider they as neutral?! So you actually will be able to fight and do your things without worrying about accidentaly missclicking a shadow creature and being able to press F while using this item.

I am not a programmer, so i dont know if this is a hard thing to change in the game, maybe in a future QoL update, or even in a hotfix, i dont know if this is a bug or it is a mechanic made on porpuse, if this is a bug, a hotfix can change it, if it is mechanic that devs consider to improve/change, a QoL update can do it. Sorry for bothering about such a specific item so suddenly.

Not auto hitting shadows would be nice, but yeah its main purpose is to make shadows not hostile and to farm nm fuel

some changes should be made, at least for clicking. it could be a great item to use at pseudostations in ruins, particularly so in the setpiece one once you clear clockworks

 

but you can't because the shadows tend to get too close to you, you click a chest or something and you're dead

Ok, i found out that there is already a mod for this, the name is advanced controls, i didnt know this mod existed, if anyone is interested to test it, feel free to search on steam, it is actually a good mod, unfortunatelly it entered in conflict with geometric drop, but since there is already an "geometric drop" in advanced controls, i didnt mind, it is actually better having 1 mod instead of 2
