babba Posted January 15, 2022 Share Posted January 15, 2022 DLC2 - Please allow us, as option, to play DLC1 untouched until the full release of DLC2 Dear Klei, I assume a portion of the player base ( including me ) would like to be able to play DLC1 "untouched" until the full release and launch of DLC2. Lets say the development and launch of DLC2 would take 1-2 years from now, then please do not forceful interrupt DLC1 players with crash/bug update patches until DLC2 has fully launched, for those players which would like to play DLC1 without "interruptions" ( without new crashes, forced engine updates, map technology updates/changes, new bugs etc. related to DLC2 update stuff ). It would be great if its possible to either: a.) Play DLC1 without patch update interference from new DLC2 development update content or engine updates or b.) Players can conscious decide to subscribe to DLC2 content and regular DLC2 content/engine update patches, as "DLC2 test players". Then I can play the current, more or less, stable (for me) build on the "old" computer until DLC2 is fully launched in 2023 or so I've got some crash every now and then, but they don't repeat. I still have not got the ONI game stability like at the end of 2020, but I find it currently OK. Would be great if Klei marks some "Base Game" & "DLC1" build(s) as stable in Steam, which we can choose to play... as fallback option. A portion of players complained that their base game got updated during the dlc1 development, they would still love it if they could play the base game with the "old" technology, having the game run faster on their computers.
