Hello everyone who likes to push the limits and break the boundaries.

I want to share world seed with extreme challenge, which I found like one of the hardest.

It's a frozen forest moonlet cluster with frozen core and mixed boulders traits. It's not that hard to roll traits like this on frozen forest asteroid, but you will probably spend lot's of time looking for geysers generation that won't spoil cold challenge.

In my personal experience you would always get cool slush geyser and chlorine vent, next most likely is salt water geyser which is way too warm and makes all the chill vanish too quickly... Others geysers could be sulfur, hydrogen, natural gas, hot polluted oxygen or carbon dioxide.

So in this seed there is cool slush, 2xchlorine, hydrogen, natural gas vent. Hydrogen and natural gas located not very convenient which is best for challenge. Teleporters are literally in space. So also additional challenge. As you can understand no magma or any other heat sources in this freezing hell.

So there is a seed.

If someone also have some interesting world seeds with challenge please share.

I want MOAR! Gotta love challenge seeds. Need more difficulty sliders. Like -200C asteroid :D

I like my oxygen in my glass. Liquid!

I guess there was/is a mod for some freezing changes... Although would be great having some geysers which would be incredibly cold.

And about liquid oxygen. I made my first setup for liquifying PO2 maybe on cycle 75... Using thermo regulator with hydrogen and solo spacefarer module as a liquifying chamber. Not that I need liquid oxygen, but it was the only viable option for warming up mealwood farms effectively enough. And also a good way to store some chill completely isolating it from base.

A flipped asteroid with no access to the space biome. With CO2, PO2, Volcano and liquid sulfur.

This is nice. I saw a flipped asteroid where sulfur geyser was in magma... Although as I am thinking magma is free energy and tons of igneous rock and it is very easy to build liquid airlock and then just build straight up mechanized airlock doors and insulated tiles from obsidian. After this let's say 10-30 cycles of primary setup you will have safe passage and almost all challenge ends there. This challenge specifically for those who are afraid to deal with magma.

FYI dupes can build doors through closed doors, and they can use open doors as ladders to climb up or down. And also they can build tiles diagonally. Knowing this it's just way too easy to build through magma even without atmosuits.

I'll take that.  No teleporters, of course either.

@WhiteWind36 mechanized airlock? No not possible because you have no access to iron so good bye to steel. Flipped only have copper ore and wolframite, copper just melt instantly.
Sure you can make tungsten by using wolframite but this map is kind enough to give you only 925kg of it, that's a total of 2 doors!

Without draining magma to somewhere else diagonal insulated tile(or airflow) is the winner here.

Ooh... Make sense, if you don't have iron or wolframite, than doors is not an option... Although this is much slower and a bit harder, but still doable only with tiles...

BTW magma there is pretty cold and solidifies very fast.

But still did not thought about lack of metal, that could be even more challenging than building through magma.

In fact I found 'metal poor' like one of most challenging traits. Although lack of gold and iron, means that all your stuff should be kept below 75 degrees celsius, meaning no steam, no water boiling and no aquatuners to move the heat, until you will find other asteroid with needed metal ores.

As I imagine it will be hardest in midgame, when you have to go for new asteroid and counting every kg of metal and deconstructing buildings to have enough refined metal for rocket platforms and trailblazer modules. I was in similar situation when played on radioactive ocean asteroid.

There's just enough material for a door crusher to eat all the magma, but that's lame.  I'm digging a pit to drop it in.
