I mean of course with 2x damage it’s hard to say that… but atleast he isn’t easily dodging bosses abilities AND hitting with more damage- His Speed perk could be brought back outside of combat and I’m pretty sure no one would complain- Better yet His Speed Perk could be Repurposed as a Energy Bar EVERYONE can craft & use.. But the problem was never Wolfgang’s Might, it was his Might + Speed + Speed stacking on top of other Speed items for stacked Speed. Speed Run shouldn’t be a gameplay style I mean I’m sorry it just shouldn’t, Whatever reason Klei opt’d to remove it.. I’m sure they have a reason. If Wolfgang was Super Speedy outside of Boss Combat but his Myriad of phobias made him feel like his knees are buckling down in sheer terror being around Enemies (like literally feeling frightened stiff minus the stiff part) he would move SLOWER. Haven’t you guys ever watched Scooby Doo? Ohan Posted December 13, 2021 Share Posted December 13, 2021 I think a lot of people agree more utility perks while mighty like harvesting would be really nice. Id also really love to see potato sacks become storage containers for just potatoes with a very big reduction on spoilage timer. Either as much as saltbox but with more slots or not too many slots but bigger spoilage reduction (i prefer the latter actually). As someone who enjoys farming i can see myself making a lot of use of something like that while playing Wolfgang, (his favorite food being roasted potatoes should be mentioned more as an actual (mini)perk). A slow on dumbbell throws also sounds interesting. Ultimately its all in klei’s hands and hopefully theyll be able to satisfy both the people who pick wolf for the straightforward bruteforce playstyle and those who enjoy a little more nuance. Wimpy Wolfgang never had any upsides he was always objectively worse and something you wanted to avoid as it made being or getting into combat in general more dangerous he was even slower at running so he couldn't as easily escape those bad situations. The rework should make him focus on his form and maintaining it so he doesn't reach wimp he should strive to maintain mighty at all times instead of just it being something to turn on situationally. Make it that he is the resource eating machine but if the player plays him right he still comes out on top in terms of saving time and resources. People aren't saying Wolfgang's speed boost needs to return (they are) but it was part of what made him more enjoyable than others. He used more but did more, he worked hard to play hard, and he could work up his mighty inside base and out of base food is everywhere even when you aren't explicitly looking for it. His might gain shouldn't be regulated to just the gym but all hard labor so he can both gain mightiness and slow down it's drain if he's constantly fighting/working of course the numbers need to be fined tune but as of right now this ain't it. Even to all those people acting like Wolfgang will be their new character pick without some tweaks he'll get stale faster than bread left outside. Everyone else is just far more interesting than i do double damage and can have 4 slots when I lift this dumbbell every couple of minutes. I highly doubt DSTs combat will remain unchanged forever… Especially when Klei adds things to the game like character jumping animations when hopping onto/off of a boat platform, now that the Jumping Animation is there.. I would love for being able to “jump” to be used to avoid AOE attacks from enemy mobs But THAT is a topic for another thread, Wendy also can’t just Idle to kill the bosses.. Having crazy amounts of speed however would guarantee you never need to kite anything, dodge, or jump to avoid anything.
