How to feed the Resin Tree (52B) effortlessly?

How to feed the Resin Tree effortlessly?   (no dupe labor, no costs)

I can think of several options, but non is really convincing.

1. Arbor tree seed generators (see Spoiler, (A)) + Pacu Farms (B)  + automated omelette cooking on magma (C).

Cons: Space intensive and complicated

2. One simple pacu-breeding pool (Algae, Seeds) delivering eggs to one unlimited-pacu storrage pool. The tree gets all the meat from dying pacus.

PRO Totally simple

CON: potentially CPU-intensive

3. Using mutated Balm lilies (Licey: +600 kcal of Meal Lice) + Sweepers  (Francis John)

CON: OMG, how long will it take, to get all that mutated seeds? Needs radiation.

4. one polluted water vent + several bog buckets + an interplanetary launcher

PRO 100% labor and cost free

CON only 4 cycles until spoil time. Needs sufficient radiation to fuel the interplanetary launcher in time.

Well, any better idea?

How do you feed your Resin Tree?

I wrangled all wild shove voles from the regolith asteroid, cooked and deep froze the bbq and shipped it to the tree. I had a 2-dupes colony there, they ate bbq and all the leftovers fed the tree. Not a whole lot invested on my part and i got all the resin I needed.

I mass produce berry sludge as soon as I possibly can and stockpile it until I get to the tree. A bit labor intensive, but the dupes still have plenty of time to be idle. The real question I have is how many kcal can the tree process per cycle now?  There's no point in producing more than that.

I do a simple pacu pool. I use the printing pod and any time I get an option for pacu I use it on that asteroid once I have it colonized. Before that I do the same thing on my main, save up the eggs, then ship them over once I colonize it. Then I use sweepers to automate delivery and an interplanetary launcher to automate shipping the resin back to my main colony. Ignore the piping and dispenser. They were just there to get things setup that I never removed. You really only need an 8 tile room for the pacu to swim in, a sweeper and loader for the eggs to move them to an adjacent room with the printing pod, and another loader to put the pacu fillet on to ship to the tree.

Either starve ranching them

You mean having a few wild shoves in a pen and just wait for them to repopulate and die of age?

Good point!  Another question is: how many resin do you really need?

However, just for fun: I would like to have an automated planet, that is constantly producing resin, without any further maintenance. ;)

Check Francis John channel, he did with balm lilly seed and pacu, its fairly straight forward, the only complicated stuff is the automation for having 3 fish in the reproduction tank and thats all, you can forget two dupes there to take care of stuff and automate the tree feeding. You don't even have to look at those dupes since they have food and oxygen and thats all.

Until all the Abyssalite is converted to insulation and I have a few tons of visco-gel. But the main point is there's no need to produce calories faster than the tree will eat them.

fish tank option 2 is a way to go. It produces more calories than the tree needed in my case.

I usually keep two dupes to run the forge (termium and insulation production) and cook the fish fillet to get more calories.

I am sending seeds from another asteroids. Occasionally excess food.

Meat from moo asteroid provides quite a lot of calories.
