Winnower Posted November 11, 2021 Share Posted November 11, 2021 This is my second playthrough where I haven't found a Neural Vacillator on any of the starting/near asteroids. I've seen them commonly in the default terra cluster, but my current playthrough in the frozen forest moonlet I haven't seen them in any of the central 4 asteroids. And my previous on the swamp start (Cosmic Calling worldgen), I never saw them in the starting 3 asteroids, nor water, ice, fire, or experiment/tree - I had collected several rechanges, but no vacillator. Yobbo Posted November 11, 2021 Share Posted November 11, 2021 I looked into this a while back, and it is not actually guaranteed. Just very likely to spawn somewhere. If it's not on the starting 3 planetoids there is still a change for it to spawn on a couple of the small outer asteroids, i think the swampy one with the tree was most likely. Yeah i agree. It might be worth posting in the suggestions forum. There could easily be one guaranteed somewhere, it would probably make sense to guarantee one on one of the outer asteroids. It annoys me a bit that in stead the coffee mug POI on the starting asteroid is guaranteed... but i guess you have to have a minimum number of artifacts available for the victory condition / achievement. WhiteWind36 Posted November 21, 2021 Share Posted November 21, 2021 I am yet to discover bigger part of asteroids, but in those 3 that I had explored now - there's no neural vacillitator. I am playing on radioactive ocean moonlet cluster. And there was two neural vacillitator in starting asteroid on my previous run when playing forest SO start. Although I can't say that I miss them... I look in to it as a bonus, which can appear, or not appear.
