Gas Filter Backfeeding

Recommended Posts

Also, don't use filters ;)

You can save quite a bit of power by using a shutoff + element sensor instead.  Or you can just use a valve to loop back 1 g/s in a circle, with a bridge to transfer new material into the loop, only if it is of the same type that is already in the loop.  Anything that can't go into the loop ( either because it's the wrong type, the loop has backstuffed, or the input is a full 1000g so the loop can only take 999 of it ) will continue past the bridge to some other destination.  This doesn't use any power at all for filtering, but you do need to make sure the lines can't get back stuffed or have a full 1000g packet in them.
