How do I spawn Grass Gecko from Grass ?

Hello all,

I have transplanted a bunch of grass to another location and after a few days some of them become grass geckos but some other not. Hot does this works ? I wanted to make a grass gecko farm but Im not able to spawn more of them.

According to this guide, when there are grass gekkos near your grass patch, no more will spawn; therefore, you have to move your currently existing gekkos to a pen some distance away for new ones to spawn. This guide's pretty old, though, so I would like other people to cross-check if some gekko mechanics have changed, particularly the one i mentioned.

You transplant grass in close proximity, then there's a chance for geckos to spawn from said grass,

This method did wonders for me, make sure to read the addendum in the description/comments
