What about an automation thing that would allow to automatically change the priority of a building to a given number upon receiving a given signal? Would that be feasible to input?
It's already kind of possible to reproduce with iterations of the building with different priority, but this would be more economic and compact, and a lot more logical.

Not sure if this is useful, but in the meanwhile, you could have two buildings with different priorities, disable one, enable the other.
The current system of automation leaves a lot to be desired.

That's what i was saying in my 2nd sentence

I do not see a problem to automate it.

If the building is in the room, you can assign high priority but restrict access to the room with a door that will be automated (at the required event/conditions, the door opens); just make sure you always have another exit door to prevent a dupe being trapped in the room.

Maybe a new automation building, "Priority node" or something.  When attached to a building with automation wire, changes the priority to the number which is set.
Or, maybe the current automation counter would work.
It'd be kind of neat to have the ability to do a yellow alert though.
