Why is my desalinator not powered?

my desalinator keeps turning on and off, telling me ''all connected power sources have lost charge'' when I hover over the dead battery icon.

In the screenshot you can see that the desalinator is not powered despite the wire being charged. (This also happens even when the transformer is fully charged and the batteries aren't empty. I didn't choose the best moment to take a screenshot)
The cables going to the right are shut off until the battery reaches 20% 
Anyone got an idea what's going wrong here?

Transformers limit the max power to 1000 W. When all your connected devices work at the same time (I see also a pump disconnected so I didn't count that), they can reach 1200 W so the one exceeding the limit when trying to start, will be out of power

maybe you have at there some automation wires what turns them off?

anyway your setup not powerful enoh for run like that

 I added another transformer to the left and it works now!

normal wires have a maximum capacity of 1000v, you have ~1500v on the same circuit.  At some point, the wire will burn out.
