PC specs for caves

Recommended Posts

I've been thinking about caves a lot lately, but I'm wondering if my PC could even handle a world with caves since it would have to run 2 servers at once. What specs are recommended for this?

The biggest concern is your CPU, secondly RAM.

Having at least 3 real cores would make this pretty much a nonissue CPU wise, and the RAM you'd want at least 6 GB as DST and its processes are each 32bit, taking a max of 2GB a piece.  I don't think DST is LAA for 4GB per.

If you can run DST fine as-is as a client and you have those cores, then I wouldn't worry about it.  Just note that when you host with caves on you will feel the effects of being a full client and all of your inputs are going to be delayed a bit.

I'm not the best with this sort of stuff so bear with me.

Processor: AMD Ryzen 3 2200G with Radeon Vega Graphics 3.50 GHz

RAM: 8.00 GB (5.95 GB usable)

I'm also running on Windows 10, would this be enough?

Should do the job.
