Separating/Quarantining / Using The Same Material Different Temperature

Recommended Posts

So my farms were hopping along but then all of a sudden cold started happening. Now the farms are ruined.

I figured it was because as my dupes were starting to use soil that I dug up from colder areas. Do you guys have any way to deal with this?

Easy way - install heating, it`s much easier than cooling.

Semi hard way - build a storage compactor set to dirt with high priority in a water tank close to the proper temperature. The dirt should heat up over time and eventually fix the problem.

Complicated way - set up a conveyor system that cycles dirt through liquid with a proper temperature and a temperature sensor sending too cold dirt for a loop and warm enough to your farm (preferrably supply the arm with auto sweepers). Also make sure to load all stray dirt into that system and set the farms to low priority so only the auto sweepers supply it.

You forgot the sadistic way - Dig up the closest volcano and let the lava flow through your base!
