Spaced Out - Rocket automation

Hi guys,

Quick question - I have created a rocket on a loop between two asteroids. The problem is that the pilot never gets out of the rocket if a loop is turned on.

Does anyone know how to handle that?

Add a timer sensor and AND gate with rocket automation. Set the timer so that the rocket takes off once a cycle. Should give enough time for the dupe to get out do their thing and get back. Also will give time for cargo to load, food replenished, toilets cleaned, oxygen filled, CO2 engine filled.

You really should bother testing this before posting nonsense. The dupe will NEVER leave the rocket if it's set to auto loop, doesn't matter what automation you do, even better other dupes can't enter either so no maintenance of food/toilets/oxygen, basically rocket automation is a bit broken at the moment.

This is with Auto crew, with ALL the pilot never get into the rocket in the first place and take off, though that does mean I've not tried the "crew" setting.

So in the interest of balance, I have seen the crew leave the rocket, briefly, when it's set to Auto.

However, the essence of your claim is true: setting the rocket to "Auto" and setting a long timer before the rocket can launch again is woefully insufficient to make sure the rocket is tended to between trips. I don't think rocket automation is viable in the current build.
