avc15
Nothing extraordinary here, just haven't seen anyone do it exactly this way and thought I'd share. I've run this with the pressure sensor set at 400g and the buffer set at 5s, and I haven't gotten any wrong element in about six of these so far. BUT. It is technically possible as an edge case for the packets to drift in just the right way and let some oxygen in, so, if you want it to be foolproof set the buffer for a shorter time (3s?) and the pressure higher (800g?). The two element sensors act as a kind of de-bounce logic. Because they come by default with a built in time delay, one of them shuts off the moment anything other than CO2/H2 appears, and you won't get both of them turned on until the gas settles with a stable layer again. No filters required! Do make sure there's nothing emitting gas on the ground or nearby, and let the gases settle for a while before you first turn it on. Images in the spoiler. 0xFADE
Depth sorting gasses is usually pretty safe. KittenIsAGeek
I've done this, but generally I haven't bothered with that much animation. With your current setup, I don't think you need quite so much automation. Your element sensors are well out of the draw range of your pumps. If you're still concerned, you can put a filter on the line to keep the pump from triggering when a single packet is hovering near your element sensor. Anyway, good job with the design.
