Questions about new farming

Recommended Posts

1) What is the limit of nutrients that can be contained in one cage of plowed soil?
2) Do different nutrients have their own limits or one common for everything?
3) Will growing underground differ from growing on the surface (for example, the amount of water consumed)?
4) Do nutrients recover on their own over time (after the land has been devastated by weeds)?
5) Do nutrients mix with nutrients from neighboring cells over time?
6) Does the king of flies spawn timer reset if you don't grow anything for a long time?
7) What affects the weight of vegetables grown? Only stress level? Or is it just random?

1) 100 of each type. There's different visuals for 0 (empty), 1-24, 25-49, 50-99 and 100.
2) The limit is per nutrient type, so the max is 100 of each.
3) No, from what I've tried plants grow exactly in the caves as they do on the surface (and I really hope this doesn't get changed)
4) No.
5) No.
6) I don't think so.
7) It's completely random, I believe.

Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

1-2) Each tile of farm spoil can hold 100 points of each nutrient.

3) Nope. New crops do not need light, they just plain don't grow at night. Though I'm told in the caves, they grow even during night for some reason. (Should probably check that out and maybe report it.)

4) Nope.

5) Nope.

6) No. Once the timer reaches zero, the Lord of the Fruit Flies will spawn the moment you have 15 grown plants in 1.5 turf radius.

7) Dunno. I mean, obviously, giant vegetables will be much heavier, but other than that, I got no idea.

So if I plant plants in plowed beds like this, the king of flies will never appear?20201205225203_1.thumb.jpg.a6341ac274e0074c3e738377f657e057.jpg

Yes, however it does run into the problem of trying to get the "Family" requirement for the crops. So it'll need to be either a 2 crop combo, or not a giant crop

Or you can fertilize the crops yourself to grow them giant.
