Unfortunately I'm pretty sure that's not possible, due to how the stores on those platforms work.

There isn't really a marketplace for skins and the like there, and the PC's version only works because of Steam integration.

Probably not? Steam's marketplace got used for money laundering a lot with stolen credit cards and stolen accounts, it has calmed down a bit since the trade-holds but still it's REALLY not the kind of thing consoles want anything to do with. Also I don't think we want the customer support pain of running our own marketplace. For the time being I personally am pretty happy with the current spools + bolts system - at least now console people have a path to get the skins they want - much better than the bad old days of just getting whatever drops you get and that's it.

Would an actual in-game trade menu be possible at some point? I mean I’ve played a lot of games in my life time and most RPG’s have a Trade System, it’s difficult to explain.. but you can’t trade any real money between players (in some states that’s actually illegal) but Anyway-

The two players place the items they want to trade into a trading window, they can then add whatever other in game items in game currency to the deal- the Players can press a button to Accept the Trade or Decline the trade and cancel the trade.

If a player changes the items up for trade it automatically cancels the player who press Accept already- (no screw jobs or scams here.. both players see clear indication of what is being offered for trade value before the trade goes through)

Yes this would effectively kill people making 50$ And upwards in easy profit off one rare skin.. but they didn’t really do much in obtaining an in-game item anyway, so why should they be making more money off it then the game itself costs?

The Trade Menu is something I would love to see become official through a QoL update- we can already access and change our skins in a Wardrobe.. now all we need is something like a Trade Menu.

I really like the spools and bolts system on console but as someone who is done with consoles and is going to make the switch to PC gaming next generation, it really is going to suck not having the skins and characters I have on console transfer over to PC. I know its probably not possible and not Klei's decision but allowing account merging would be sweet.

I agree. It was not possible when we launched on console. That position has softened somewhat, so the answer is "maybe someday but we're not able to make progress on it right this minute"
