Do you feel like you ripped people off ?

This is nothing that you originally promised to deliver. As I recall it was more supposed too be something similar to Star Renegades. I am personally very disappointed. I cannot recall if you had asked for people to pay in advance or called fans to invest money, but I am glad I didn't .... from something that looked like decent game, you scammed people and gave them game that looks like its made in flash with very poor animations .... I was so looking forward too this game :(

Well as a consumer who willingly purchased this game on a platform I dont particularly care for, I certainly dont feel ripped off. They didnt charge anyone for their "original idea" from 2017's E3. The game's early alpha was only put up for sale after 2019's E3 where they showed what the game was changed to be about, which is a lot better than the plethora of games that dont even exist outside of E3 announcements. The new information was clearly advertised, and I assume the vast majority of people purchased it knowing it would be a card game. As for the animations, that's entirely subjective but looks pretty in line with the usual Klei standard to me.

First of all, the game still isn't finished.

Second of all, it's YOUR opinion that the game is a cobbled together pile of feces. it's the difference between all people. some people are addicted to card games a la slay the spire, some people hate them. some people like sex humor, some people hate it. some people hate Steven Universe, some people would be willing to start a world war against those people.

Third of all, it's a KLEI game. that name has carried some massive weight in the indie scene. look at the griftlands forum. would there be this much discussion come from a "scam"?

I gotta say Gimbles, I have the complete opposite opinion to you.

I think this game looks amazing, I love the art work and animation, also it is by far the most well-polished looking Alpha I've ever seen in my life

As for the gameplay itself... well this is like the ultimate version of my favourite genre's so... yeah I'm pretty damn happy.

Now, I do see an argument for it not looking like the game that it was originally designed as way back when, there is a valid point in that and I wasn't around for that change so I can't say much to that.  Though I would also posit that it would be worse is if they DID keep going with the previous style when it just wasn't working for them, the game would've suffered for that.

The game is fun, but not as random and replayable as people might think. Every run I know what to expect (if I say or do this, I already know the consequences). You're never truly surprised or caught off guard. The game is divided into three stories that don't interact and the maps, although pretty, feel boring and lifeless and don't serve any purpose beyond "click this bubble to go there". Not a rant, but honest criticism ;)

I can agree with that Smife.  The replayability (for me anyway) comes from trying out the different card combos, though I do enjoy the random events and of course the way your reputation etc effects the cards.
The stories, while interesting, don't change a great deal game to game.  I would like the idea of a more "open-ended" story where you could end up with a completely different story, but at the same time when that is done you just can't tell the same kind of stories that are told in the current style.
