Tobruk
Hi, I know I've read somewhere some time ago how to calculate how much of each resource will be brought via cargo bays but can't find it. Any helpful links? Thanks Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/111997-precisely-calculating-cargo-return-from-space-mission/ Share on other sites
Rocoto
There's some info on the wiki: https://oxygennotincluded.gamepedia.com/Starmap#Destination_Status Quote World Composition of each Destination is shown in % which will be used to calculate how much of each material will be brought back. You will bring back (% of material / total % of type)* Cargo Bays * 1000 kilograms. For example, if an Organic Mass has only Algae and Slime as Solid and both are listed at flat 25%: 500 kg of each material will be returned per Solid Cargo Bay. If 5% Isoresin was found on the same Destination, 90.909 kg will be returned ((5/55)*1*1000), along with 454.545 kg ((25/55)*1*1000) of Algae and Slime. In the case a material is the sole suitable material on a Destination: 1000 kg per Cargo Bay will be returned. For example, if Water was at 19% and the only liquid present, one Liquid Cargo Tank would bring back 1000 kg (1000*(19/19). This makes Gas Giants very attractive for Rare Materials because they are the only Solid material there. Grimgaw
How about things which are listed as 'trace'? Red Shark
Trace just means less than 1% - there's more precision than is displayed. Cargo rockets with "trace" amounts of Fullerene have personally brought back 1.5kg or so, which equates to .15 %. Hence, "Trace".
