Here's an odd question: Can I edit the background color of the map?

You know how each biome has its own hue, even when everything in the biome is removed and only vacuum remains?  Is it possible to change these hues by hand?  Or is this something that can only be set when a map is generated?

By "by hand" I mean I'm thinking of hand-crafting an asteroid in debug mode, but I'm hoping there's a way around biomes being mis-colored by background hues that don't match.

The hues are connected to zoneType (defined in world gen files) and currently the only way to edit them is a mod. The one I have changes it before the game initializes textures
