Lettuce now uses bleach stone to fertilize.

Recommended Posts

So I have a 26 dupe base that is completely dependent on lettuce and I just found out that it now requires bleach stone this is pretty funny, but I don't mind too much.  Considering how tolerant it is of high temperatures, you should have to pay a price for that.  It's just kind of funny to see my 100 lettuce farm tiles are now totally useless.

I should also mention it requires you to irrigate it with saltwater too.

Isn't bleach stone pretty difficult to fabricate? Green pufts can produce it, but they have very slow metabolisms and destroy half of the mass going in. They're also tricky to breed because their factors are mostly RNG. The old bleach stone tiles were also incredibly small at around 50kg, so consuming even 1kg/cycle is a huge demand. I guess that's what balance testing is for.

1 tame squeeky puft produces 5kg bleach stone a cycle - that's 10 plants.

Besides the standard 2% variance all (old) creatures have, there's no RNG in breeding them.

They apparently added more bleach stone to the tidal biome so Oceania should have insane numbers of it and even normal maps should get a lot.

It`s actually not 2% but it`s afew steps to get to that point.

1. A puft will have an >90% chance for a prince if none is present. Prince has 100% chance for a regular puft.
2. Once you got a puft and a prince the chance for a squeaky will rise to ~50%.
3. A squeaky will have a 98% for a squeaky egg as long as a prince is present.

So you can get consistently squeaky pufts (or dense, it works the same) but you need to make sure there`s a prince always present in the ranch and gets some polluted oxygen to eat.
