warflion
I mean if exposed to polluted oxygen is all it takes to get infected by slimlung, what's the point of having all those germs? shouldn't it be germs + polluted oxygen = slimlung infection? hacksaw12
A similar message appears when one of your dupes is infected by zombie spores, too. I think Klei probably means "polluted oxygen" to mean polluted by the germs in this case, rather than the game polluted oxygen, which breathes just fine. In the case of spores, I don't think they live in oxygen, although I can't remember exactly what the message says, but I remember being a little confused at first. Sasza22
A dupe won`t get infected by polluted oxygen with no germs. Germs have to be there. The notification is just there to point the source of the infection (granted it works much better for food poisoning as saying polluted oxygen doesn`t point any specific spot). The germs can cause infection as long as the dupe inhales them with oxygen or polluted oxygen. Darkin Coaled
Doesn't the message say "infected by breathing germ filled polluted oxygen"? You should really start worrying if it says it was in regular oxygen, you have a leak somewhere. Or these guys went for the nearest source of algae they could find and stuffed your oxidizer with slimelung, that's always hilarious.
