Theukon-dos
So the vortex cloak... isn't as useful as you would hope. For those unfamiliar with it, It's an item obtained by surviving the aporkalypse and Killing the ancient Herald. The Herald drops the blueprint along with 5 "dark tatters" which are used to craft the cloak. The cloak functions similar to bone armor, protecting from 100% of damage. However, unlike the bone armor which goes off of a usage-based system, The vortex cloak has a health pool of 450 HP that can be refueled with nightmare fuel for 5% of it's durability. It also functions as a backpack with 8 slots and has a massive sanity drain of -20/m It sounds good on paper, However, Due to the high-resource cost, The massive sanity drain, the fact that it doesn't protect against shadows, which you're probably going to be fighting the most of due to the sanity drain, the fact that it's backpack status means that you have to wear it when going to the fight, and the fact that armor stacking lets you turn into a Panzer battalion anyways, it's not quite as fitting of being the reward for surviving The end of the world as one would hope. However, I do think that there are a couple changes that could be made to it to make it a much more viable alternative. First, It should protect against shadow creatures. Several characters remark about how it will protect them from shadows, so It makes sense that it would protect against shadows. Second. The description for the cloak states "Pockets, Dimensions deep". Despite this, it can only store as much stuff as a primitive backpack. However, I don't think it should just get more slots. that's a wee bit bland. Instead, I suggest that it keeps its 8 slots, but each slot can hold many stacks of items. Now that may sound a bit confusing, so let me give an example. Let's say that I'm farming wood, and I put a stack of 20 logs in the Vortex cloak. Now that slot's filled, but each slot has a hidden inventory of its own, and any time you pick up an item that matches an item in the slot, instead of going into a different slot in your inventory, it will go into the hidden inventory for the slot with the same item. so if I keep picking up wood, instead of quickly filling my inventory, it will instead go into that one slot that already has a full stack of wood. Does that make sense? I hope so, because I already re-wrote that and would love to not do it again. anyways, as for how many slots would be in each slot's hidden inventory, I'm not too sure, But I'd wager that it should be relatively massive, considering, as I said, that the pockets are described as "dimensions deep". Anyways, with these changes, I'd wager that the Vortex cloak would be a much more viable option, particularly when resource farming or obtaining many of a single item. oCrapaCreeper
It seems like it was practically designed to be used by Maxwell, since his dapperness cancels out the Cloak's drain exactly and it benefits Maxwell more since he's so squishy

Alexias
Making it block shadow attack will be kinda a nerf, Refueling the armor is already expensive so using against enemy with low damage will be a waste. You can wear football helmet with vortex cloak to block shadow creature damage, that will save more durability for vortex cloak when you fight bosses with sanity aura.
