Yeah well, dead and ugly kinda makes sense but... they could've made dirt roads atleast, not just black pixels that look like a swarm of angry ants.And yeah, that's a world from the progress update.

New worlds kinda don't have roads now though. They do have some normal-looking but seems to be mostly connected to pig villages.I think the blackness of the current roads tries to look like, erm, a commonly stomped and walked-on area of terrain that went darker due to it, like dead grass. It could have used some better texture though indeed.

I think it's just a bug from old worlds. My old world had roads that looked like that too. When I suicided for the update, all roads have looked like roads on the map so far.

It happens in new worlds. Some are normal, some are black.
