WanderingKid
So, I setup my beautiful and awesome (tm) radar detection system, set it up for rockets to depart and land at their leisure, and then they proceeded to have a 1-200s event because all the radars were hiding from the meteor storm. Said rocket then proceeded to use the door as an airbrake and now needs repairs. With miners not able to reach a radar dish without causing significant interference, what techniques do you guys use to deal with this? Or is it just a luck thing (meteor storm + rocket landing) that you just pay for the repairs now and then? shanemadden
See: If you're in the 1-200s range because the scan network quality is 0% you risk smashing the doors, unfortunately. Note that you can effectively protect scanners and miners using a few different builds - mostly people keep their scanners up above the regolith-handling infrastructure by building them on doors that let the regolith drop through without collecting on the scanner. Here's mine: Individual scanner quality is only 67% with how I have it laid out, but with 8 scanners in the network that doesn't hurt. WanderingKid
I'm sorry I didn't mention this before, I do have a radar and regolith collection system I've built I like. I can adjust it as needed to allow for more width for solar and the likes as well. However, I see from that post (thank you) I hadn't thought of some possible event combinations from my current layout. I'm also not sure I understood all of that the last time I read it. I'm QUITE sure I didn't THIS time. I'll have to re-read that a few times. Thanks @shanemadden. SkunkMaster
are bunker doors not still bugged ? aka they wont close / open if they aint visible on the screen. From what i`ve seen it works like that. If the doors get the signal to open when off screen they change to open after about 40s (same as the ones that you have on screen all the time) but if you look at them before that they will start opening like if they were closed all the time and instead open after almost 80s in the worst case scenario. This would explain why my regolith dropping logic just won't behave. Thanks.
