The description even says they automatically turn systems off when there is no charge to sustain them - ie, building failover systems. All you need to do is set the smart batter sliders to 99/100 or 0/1 depending on your application. Thats what smart batterys und power shutoff in combination are for ^^ The battery can cut off the wire at any load, and reconnect it if needed. You can, but a smart battery takes up more space than a sensor, must be built on the ground, and produces heat waste.
