Conductive heavy Watt wire VS normal heavy watt wire

Recommended Posts

Is there any useful difference?

The descriptions say 20kw maximum for both of them.

Only difference is conductive version having a smaller decor debuff as far as I can see.

Also what effect does +50% decor have on -20 decor. Does it make it -10 decor?

Mathematically it would be -30 but I doubt the game does that since it would be silly.

-20 + ( 50% of -20) = -30

(actually it might be -10 or +30 in the end. Not used my brain for maths since highschool Alevels lol.)

decor is the biggest difference, that and heavi-watt can use un-refined metal whereas heavy conductive cannot

have you tested what the +50% decor bonus from gold does? (editted it into my OP after you commented)

Heavy conductive gets the bonus from refined gold.

Above, the left-most wire piece is heavy conductive made of refined gold, the middle is heavy conductive copper, and the right is heavi-watt.

Heavi-watt gets no bonuses.

So a single straight run gives the following decor debuffs:

-135 for heavi-watt of any material

-64 for heavy conductive copper

-40 for heavy conductive gold

as shown above, with some decor heavy conductive gold can even be made to be above 0.

Late in the game metal ore becomes scarce and refined metal gets abundant. So, yes, it's extremely useful. Also, don't get too trigger happy on refining your metals.
