Craigjw
Am I correct in thinking that the latest patch allows us to omit the output element sensor to disable the refinery when it is draining it's output? Is the refinery disabled by itself when draining and no longer has that super-heat used coolant bug/feature? Lancar
I can't speak for everyone, obviously, but on the new map i started yesterday the metal refinery seems to output everything correctly and has never overheated. Granted I haven't tested yet in a scenario where the output pipe gets blocked, only when it drains immediately into a pool. Is the refinery disabled by itself when draining and no longer has that super-heat used coolant bug/feature? Short answer, yes, it seems to be fixed. Longer answer: The behavior of the refinery has changed. It now 3 seems that there are separate "tanks" within the refinery. Tank 1 (input) holds 800kg and is filled directly from pipes hooked to the white input port. Tank 2 (processing) holds 400kg and is filled by transferring the 400kg instantly from tank 1. This is where the heat is applied to the coolant. Tank 3 (output) also holds (at least) 400kg and is filled with the contents of tank 2 after the job errand is completed and the heat is applied. This tank drains into the pipe hooked to the green output port. The refinery itself is not disabled as I have seen it filling tank 1, running a job, and draining tank 3 all at the same time.
