Dannyrulx
So, since nobody wanted to RP 1x1 with me, which is fair enough and understandable, and all of the RP's running are action-based at the least, I was wondering if anyone would be more interested in a slice of life type of RP set a few decades in the future in a massive apartment complex. Said complex would contain basically everything one would need, such as shops etc, and the players would have the option of being highly realistic AI workers, or humans. Lots more stuff to come should I get any interst.
Mobbstar
Sure sounds intriuging. One question about those AI workers though: Pre- or post-singularity?

Technically pre. They're intelligent as humans and have free will outside of their jobs (they have to work unless dismissed by their owners,) but huge cultural changes due to them hasn't happened yet. Mobbstar
Oh boy, this sure sounds interesting. Gotta make sure to refresh on the good ol' sci fi theories if I wanna join, though. Let me start by rewatching Humans Need Not Apply and a few reaction videos like the one by Kevin Lieber.
Dannyrulx
Ok, I decided to write a short 'ad' for the complex, which also gives you a small taste of what to expect. Quote Hycliff Megacomplex- The way of the future! Witness the stunning pinnacle of thousands of years of architecture in the largest megacomplex to date, featuring accommodation for over four thousand people, magnificent hydroponic farms, hundreds of local businesses, the latest in AI assistance, and much more! Marvel at the view every morning over the incredible skyline, enjoy free-range chicken, culture-grown beef, and far more, all at the Hycliff Megacomplex! It's a reference to "Super-Toys Last All Summer Long" that was the basis of "AI: Artificial Intelligence". It's a beast.

Dannyrulx
Heh. Different types of AI anyone? Different types of AI: Human Enriched: Normally used for those AI to be used in jobs that require large amounts of human contact such as baristas or shop attendants, Human Enrichment is expensive and takes time, but produces AI that are as close to human in temperament as physically possible, with the potential for everything from joy to distilled fury, even if their coding forbids them from acting on this. The only thing is that they can’t lie- or even have experience of lying. The most common in Hycliff. Street Educated: Factory fresh AI that have been ‘taught’ by their owners. Normally more cynical and bitter of their work and the job around them, although capable of understanding (and undertaking in,) deceit. Not commonly seen in Hycliff. Pre-coded: Whilst these aren’t technically AI, more your average robots, these do have some measure of consciousness, and can act on their own outside their set parameters to prevent disasters. Generally locked into an action that they must fulfil, with little time off. Utilised everywhere extensively, not seen, or if seen, often mistaken for another kind of AI. Set personality: An old standby, these AI have a set personality which they use, although are otherwise free to be their ‘own person.’ Used to be the norm, but with Human Enrichment becoming cheaper, and producing ‘nicer’ AI, is slowly being phased out. Still very common in Hycliff.
