Beds not being automatically reassigned upon return from rocket mission

It seems like duplicants who go on rocket missions for a while and come back struggle finding a bed to sleep in at home. All my dupes sleep in ladder beds in rockets, and I have available bed cots, ladder beds and comfy beds on planetoids. I keep finding my space duplicants sleeping on the floor in the great hall for some reason.

Below, Marie on a space mission with her assigned mess table and ladder bed:

The next day, Marie gets out of the rocket and everything inside the rocket gets grounded through automation. Marie finds a new mess table, but fails to find a new bed despite that there is an unassigned comfy bed and 2 unassigned cots on that planetoid:

As can be seen on the last screenshot, she still has her "ladder bed" assigned. I observe that for other duplicants in my main base as well, even if there are available ladder beds to sleep in.

Anybody else got that issue? I observe it very consistently in my colony.

I've encountered this as well though I assumed it was because I didn't have any ladder beds outside of rockets... It also happens when there's a comfy bed in a rocket but none on the planet.

I'm surprised by your comment that this also happens when you have free ladder beds in the planet as I had thought the issue was due to no available beds of the same type in the planet. From what I observed, it looked like they always look for an available bed of the type they have assigned to them (so ladder bed -> ladder bed, comfy bed -> comfy bed, ...)

That is what I thought too at first, but even if there are ladder beds available, duplicants will not automatically find one. For example, Ellie below just returned from a trip on a rocket where she was sleeping in a ladder bed and I have observed her and she just fell asleep on the floor. Meanwhile, there are 3 unassigned ladder beds in base, and 2 unassigned cots:

A few seconds later, Meep fell asleep on the floor as well (he also had a ladder bed assigned in a 2nd rocket):

And a few seconds later, it was Jean's turn (also had a ladder bed assigned in a 3rd rocket):

So yeah, something is wrong here.

Noticed this as well. With just few rocket missions it becomes one thing to do manually. It should work by itself though.
