polymer press overheats WAY to fast

even with 6 gold tempshift plates and an ice biome at -19F the polymer press heats too quickly to cooldown.

see broken polymer press image here http://prntscr.com/kehkvt

the rate at which the polymer press overheats needs to be lowered

User Feedback

What gases are around the polymer presses? In the ice biome is carbon dioxide, thats a bad heat conductor.

I would try hydrogen or at least oxygen to exchange the heat. I've got o2/po2 around my presses and they work just fine.

If that doesn't help, try to cool them down with some water. Build a pump, a valve (set mine to 1000g) and drop it on top. With the molten water (~5 °C) from the ice biome I can cool those things down to 34,2 °C

I usually build my presses from wolframite, diamond temp shift plates behind, and Wheezewort on both sides. As a safety i automate it with a heat sensor and make them stop below 60°. They never overheat though. Bothered myself with hydrogen bunkers a while ago, but no need for that.
