Can't use items in the Filtration Research.

Well ... whats stopping you? Please add more details than "I cannot use items..." 

Do they not work? Do they not build? What exactly?

They are a building and need clear space to be built, can not over lap with tiles ladders etc, could you post a screen shot of the attempt?

I also cannot research anything past Sanitation or Filtration such as Decontamination or Improved Plumbing. It's acting as if they are not complete.

I just tested it, and it's anything past Plumbing. I can't use anything in Air Systems as well.

So you forgot to research the Super Computer and build it?
 

There is a second row of numbers on your research tree that requires a second building Advanced Research - Super Computer to produce

Ok, so It's not a bug, It's just not in the tutorial.

Did you not notice the second row with another research icon showing 0/10 and wondering what that is?
