This happened to two players on my server who used a lazy deserter on a boat to travel to a lazy deserter on land. Normal movements after that resulted in continuous hopping. This also translated to beefalo as you can see in the video. Re-logging didn't fix the issue, but migrating to another shard did.

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.
