Moleworms are unable to make burrows on boats

The fact that moleworms can dig around "underground" on a boat feels so odd in general. I'd expect them to just make a leak and then sink into the ocean below.

i actually really don't mind it. i already keep moleworm pets so i actually like putting mine down on a boat while i sail

sounds deliberate. If not, klei will probably have this trigger a leak.
