Hounds run normal speed in sandstorm but player is slow

Hounds can run full speed in a sandstorm but player can only move very slowly. IMHO animals should run slow as well.

Steps to Reproduce
Run in a sandstorm while hounds are chasing. Absolutely impossible.

Not a bug.

Why not? Shouldn't a sandstorm affect all lifeforms equally, with possible exception for giants?

I mean, maybe. But that's a design choice that you think would be better than the current one, not a bug in the game that needs to be corrected.

They're just pointing out that there's currently nothing to suggest this is anything but intended behavior. No entities other than the player have are affected by sandstorms.

This is also pretty explicit in the code. Only the player_common prefab has the stormwatcher component, alongside a GetSandstormLevel function and custom sandstorm animations.

If you have suggestions for changes to current intended behavior it's best to put it in the suggestions/feedback forum.

Apologies, I wasn't aware that the source code was available for inspection to make such a determination.

Seems like a sketchy design choice - for me it feels more like a bug or an oversight. This game is brutal enough, but "unfair" advantages like this just seem rather absurd.

Is it possible to move this thread to another forum?
